Molokini Crater and Turtle Town
Molokini Crater is one of the most famous snorkeling spots in Hawaii. Molokini is a small, crescent-shaped island just off the Maui coastline. This is our first snorkeling destination on our Molokini Crater Snorkeling Tour. Its crystal-clear water offers visibility up to 150 feet. Snorkeling here feels like swimming inside a giant aquarium!
Under the water, you’ll float above colorful coral reefs and see more than 250 species of fish—many found only in Hawaii. It’s no wonder Molokini is one of the top snorkeling locations in Maui!
After exploring Molokini, the tour heads to South Maui’s Turtle Town. This calm and colorful reef is home to Hawaiian green sea turtles. These gentle giants swim gracefully through the warm waters, often alongside schools of fish and coral gardens. It’s a peaceful and magical stop for snorkelers of all ages.
Snorkel the crater walls of Molokini, swim with turtles at Turtle Town, and relax while our expert captain and crew take care of everything. We provide your gear, meals, and guidance—just bring your sense of adventure!
Make your Maui vacation one to remember with these two snorkel spots. Book Molokini Snorkel Tours today and experience the magic of Molokini and Turtle Town for yourself. Crystal-clear water, colorful marine life, and unforgettable memories are just a splash away!
Marine Life You Might See
Every Molokini Crater snorkeling trip feels like stepping into a brand-new world! Beneath the surface, you’ll spot bright butterflyfish, yellow tangs, parrotfish, and Moorish idols. Keep an eye out for small schools of fish gliding gracefully past the reef—it’s like swimming through a living rainbow.
Turtle Town is home to the stars of the show—Hawaiian green sea turtles. Watching these gentle giants cruise through the water is always a highlight. On your journey, you may spot trumpetfish, surgeonfish, and a curious spotted moray eel peeking from the coral.
On most days, the water is clear. These spots are great for kids, first-time snorkelers, or anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the view. From the walls of Molokini to the sea turtles at Turtle Town, every moment feels fun and memorable!
