DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE SNORKELING?
Absolutely not! Our crew will help you every step of the way. Our trips are designed for experienced and inexperienced snorkelers of all ages.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN SNORKELING GEAR?
Nope! All of our trips include all necessary snorkeling gear.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
Absolutely. The morning trips offer our enormously popular deli-style lunch with pasta salad, juices, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water. Our afternoon tours offer the same delicious deli-style lunch and pasta salad and drinks. Guests are also welcome to bring whatever they would prefer to eat. We offer gluten-free and vegetarian options on all tours. Please make your selection while booking your tour.
ARE KIDS REALLY FREE?
Yes. Maui Snorkeling offers kids 3 & Under FREE trips. We even provide food and drink at no additional cost. So, save your wallet and get two meals on us!
DO YOU OFFER TRANSPORTATION?

We do not offer transportation but there are plenty of options on Maui, no matter where you are staying.

IS THERE SHADE ON YOUR BOAT?

Yes. The Lani Kai II has a variety of places for you to get out of the sun. Our mid-sized boat allows everyone a comfortable trip.

DO YOU PROVIDE TOWELS?

Sorry, not at this time! We expect to have towels for purchase in the very near future.

IS SNORKELING SAFE FOR KIDS AND SENIORS?

Yes. Our crew goes to great lengths to ensure that everyone is comfortable and safe before entering the water. Our dive locations are selected for their beauty but also their safety.

CAN WE USE A FULL-FACE SNORKELING MASK?

No. We do not allow full-face masks on the Lani Kai II. But, we do provide all of your snorkeling equipment at no additional cost.

ARE THERE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS?
Yes. Our meals offer a variety of vegetarian options. We can also accommodate a variety of diet specifications restrictions. Just call us at (808) 244-1979 with specific requests and we’ll do our best to help you.
WHAT IS THE ALCOHOL POLICY?

At the request of our guests, we are BYOB and guests are permitted to bring what they choose to drink. Please do not bring any glass on the tour and DO NOT consume alcohol before any water activities on the Lani Kai II.

IS IT SAFE?

Yes. Our crew has decades of combined experience and we go to great lengths to ensure that we treat all of our passengers with the ultimate amount of care.

ARE MORNING TRIPS & AFTERNOON TRIPS DIFFERENT?

Morning trips are 5 hours with two meals included and the Afternoon trips are 3 hours with one meal included. Also, the Morning snorkeling trips usually go to the Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. Afternoon trips normally travel to Molokini Crater. The exact location of EVERY tour will depend on weather and water conditions. We CANNOT guarantee any location, but the Captain will advise before each tour.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE HARBOR?
Yes. There are parking spots throughout Ma’alaea Harbor by a 3rd party management company. You can park wherever you choose, but we suggest getting to the harbor early so that you can get a spot right next to our boat at slip #64. You can scan a QR code to pay from your phone.
WHAT TIME DO WE CHECK-IN AT THE BOAT?
Check-in for the Morning trip is 6:30AM and the Afternoon trip check-in is 12:30. Please note that, like airlines, our check-in ceases 10 minutes prior to the scheduled tour start time. Once passengers are boarded and safety announcements have been made, we can no longer accept additional passengers…even the boat is still at the slip. These are regulations that we cannot circumvent, no matter how badly we would like to allow people aboard. Please allow yourself plenty of time for the commute. Depending on the season, Maui can become very crowded with delayed roads. Allow plenty of time to comfortably park and get over to the Lani Kai II
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your snorkeling trip, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled trip. There are no refunds if you cancel within 24 hours of the start of your trip.

HOW DO I GET TO THE BOAT?

The harbor is located at 101 Maalaea Rd, Maalaea, Maui, Hawaii. We are located just off of Highway 30. Please note that the docks/slips are NOT in numerical order and that the retail side of the harbor has odd-numbered slips and the ocean side of the harbor has even-numbered slips! Our slip (dock) is #64 and is located at the end of the harbor on the ocean side. See our Contact Us page for our map. You can also call us at (808) 244-1979.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE?

Our business hours are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Hawaii time) 7 days per week.

DO YOU OFFER KIDS SIZES?

Yes. We provide all necessary snorkeling equipment for all ages and sizes at no additional cost.

DO YOU OFFER SNUBA?
We discontinued our SNUBA program. Once aboard the Lani Kai II, you will notice a much smoother touring experience without the clutter that can be common with SNUBA tours. Our guests love the new experience!

DO AFTERNOON TOURS GO TO MOLOKINI?

Afternoon tours usually go to Molokini if weather conditions permit.
